Coming from a background of theater tech and set construction/ design, Derek quickly adapted to working in film. Since graduating from DePaul University's Digital Cinema program, he has been working freelance film jobs around the country: feature films, web series and everything in between. His feature film credits include Warren, Roundabout American, Precious Mettle, and Animals. He also has experience in commercial production, including Quran Works and Family Bridges .
